Most people do need visas to come to Russia. However there is a law that allows passengers of cruise ships and ferries to stay in Russia for no longer than 72 hours without a visa issued by a Russian Consulate. Instead, ship passengers get special cruise visas or "blanket visas" which we provide free of charge. You may find a detailed information about them here. If you come to St. Petersburg on a plane/train or bus or want to stay here for more than 72 hours, you have to apply for regular Russian tourist visa at the Russian Consulate in your country. They will ask you for "visa support" documents that simplify the process of getting Russian visa. We do provide visa support service, you may get it here. There are also some countries that have visa-free regime with Russia, please find them at the very bootom of this page
